Abstract We consider a coopetitive game model of firms’ behavior in process R&D with entry cost. compare the competitive firms coopetition scenario. In coopetition, engage bargaining to reach binding agreement. find that competition can lead prisoner’s dilemma or chicken between market rivals. The possibility entering agreement resolves above social dilemmas associated behavior. turn, under for medium level cost, may enter trust dilemma, but it is beneficial scenario comparison corresponding outcome.
